Charity & Fundraising
Charitable fundraising is truly a team effort. Over the past three years, we have proudly raised funds for British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and Alzheimer’s Research UK — with the practice generously matching funds each year.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved: those who have taken part, those who have supported us, and those who have sponsored our efforts. Thank you for your generosity and continued support.
2026
This year, our Principal, Dr Bhatt, will be taking on a huge challenge in Scotland — hiking and camping the Fisherfield Six over two days.
This may be the biggest challenge ever taken on by Blaby Dental Practice in support of research and a cure for rare cancers. The trail covers an incredible 41.7 km with 2,850 m of elevation, making it a truly demanding undertaking.
Blaby Dental Practice has already placed £4,000 into the fundraising pot, doing something a little different from our usual match-funding approach. This time, we are asking for the help of our patients, friends, and wider community to help us match this amount and make an even greater impact.
2026
2026 is already off to a flying start!
Blaby Dental Practice has raised £836 for Leicestershire Hospitals Charity through a charity raffle.
We were honoured to support The Big Pledge Weekend, which took place from 6–9 March 2026. All of the funds raised will help improve parent facilities in the Children’s Intensive Care Unit (CICU), supporting families during incredibly difficult times.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and contributed — your generosity makes a real difference.
2025
Our chosen charity for 2025 was Alzheimer’s Research UK. A fantastic team of clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff took part in our big hike through the Brecon Beacons.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised £655, which Blaby Dental Practice proudly matched — bringing the total to £1,310 for this important cause.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, supported, and helped make this challenge such a success.
2024
In August 2024, Blaby Dental Practice conquered Ben Nevis and raised an incredible £3,014 for British Heart Foundation.
The team challenged themselves by taking on the more demanding route via the Càrn Mòr Dearg Arête — a 17.5 km Grade 1 ridge scramble that provides a thrilling and challenging approach to the summit.
It was a fantastic team effort and a memorable achievement for everyone involved.
2023
In 2023, our team came together to raise funds for a cause very close to our hearts. Eleven members of the team, dressed in fancy dress, completed an incredible 25-mile walk around Rutland Water.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, the team raised an amazing £2,120.84, which Blaby Dental Practice proudly matched — bringing the total to £4,241.68.
It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved and a memorable way for the team to come together for such an important cause.
